A Daily Dose of Splunder: Watch out world, she's mobile

Not only can she sit up all by herself but that Ginny bug is a rolling fool. She rolls front-to-back, back-to-front, and all 360 degrees in between. Watch out animals, your tails are no longer safe from pulling. Please keep all choking hazards at least two feet above ground level. We frequently Skype with Gregg so he can watch Ginny play and I have to adjust the computer every 30 seconds to keep up with her rolling right out of his field of view. And, oh, how Gizmo loves this newly mobile human...I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that three times a day, she gets to circle Ginny's high chair like a voracious shark, awaiting scraps of avocado and sweet potato. Gizmo likes to help with clean up too. Ginny leans far over to her right side with her fingers wiggling, tempting fate, and before long Gizmo attacks her hand while Ginny squeals in delight and tries to grab her tongue.

Unfortunately, it is already full blown early summer here in Columbus. Summer = heat = tornados = ticks = lots of lawn mowing. Ginny and I spent yesterday afternoon mowing the front yard. I know, because I am frequently reminded, that I could easily hire a guy to do this for $50 (a total steal if you have ever seen my lawn) but it's my badge of honor...also then I get to bitch about it to you all. Plus, it's kinda cool that Ginny doesn't mind hanging out in her pack and play on the front porch, watching her mother sweat. As an added plus, next year when Gregg does not want to stop watching Sportscenter long enough to mow, I can say "well, back when you were gone..." and he won't have a leg to stand on.
